Energy is a fundamental concept in science. Only a mass-less object or an object with no area have 0 energy. The more mass and the bigger the object the more energy it will contain. Everything contains energy. Energy is typical divided into kinetic energy which is how much movement energy that the object has and potential energy which is how much additional movement energy the object would have if it was not restricted by any force. Kinetic energy can be further divided into translational energy, rotational energy and vibrational energy.
